I've made a variation of this recipe because I have a friend who is allergic to peanuts so unable to eat the Butterfingers. I make a German chocolate cake, drizzle a bottle of caramel ice cream topping on the warm cake, frost with Cool Whip and sprinkle Heath toffee bits on top. I sometimes add coconut and mini chocolate chips. to the Heath bits. It's great!
