My mother-in-law, Thelma Garrett, made the BEST sweet potato pie. It was totally different from any other sweet potato pie that I have ever had. Most others have cinnamon and nutmeg. I like those, but her pie was SO GOOD. If you haven’t tried it with lemon flavoring, please do. This recipe can be found on page 51 in my Volume 1 cookbook.
