
My mother was the BEST cook. I still think she made the best fried chicken and fried okra I have ever had. Green beans were another dish that was so good. She would always say that you had to cook them down.....that meant you cook them until there's no liquid. We don't have much patience today. Everything must be quick. These beans take about 45 minutes to "cook down" but it's so worth it. The recipe is simple so I hope you will try it.
