A friend from high school, Joyce Genry, shared this recipe with me. It is one that her sweet mother, Mrs. Christine Bearden, baked each year. I couldn't wait to make it and share it with you. Joyce says it is very important for you to refrigerate the dough for at least 24 hrs. before baking. My husband ate so many of these until I was afraid he would be sick. I plan to package some and give them to friends for a little Merry Christmas surprise. Hope you will try them.

I made the mix yesterday and then baked them this morning. I love them! I even had a couple for breakfast!🤗 I'm making the toffee crackers later today.
