Several followers have messaged me about a pound cake recipe. I have used several recipes and really like them all. Today I wanted to show you one that was given to me by my best friend, Jane. She got the recipe many years ago from a sweet lady, Granny Barronton. This cake is delicious without adding a thing, but you could add strawberries, peaches, blueberries or ice cream. You will also find this recipe in my cookbook. I have made it many times over the years to take to those who might be sick or to a church function. This is my pound cake recipe except I use margarine instead of butter and cut down to 2 2/3 cups sugar So good!
