Apple Pie reminds me of fall so much. It's not that I don't eat apple pie all year but the smell of the pie cooking gives me all the fall feels. Several weeks ago my son-in-law mentioned an "apple" pie that I used to make that had no apples. I told him when I felt like cooking again I would make it. I had forgotten all about making this until he reminded me. Unless you tell someone that it has no apples they will never know.
