I found this recipe in an old Southern Living magazine. We ate it with our meal and counted it as a vegetable and our cornbread! It's a great way to use up some of your garden squash too. I hope you'll try it.
I have never made squash puppies before, but have made hush puppies quite often. My mother taught me that if you have a cup of really hot water by your skillet and dip your spoon in it before you dip your mix, the hush puppy mix will just slide right off your spoon into the grease. Will need to dip spoon in the water about every 3rd hush or squash puppy! (This account is in my husband's name!)
By squash do you mean zucchini & yellow squash?
